If you like high speed and if you want a vehicle that can go from naught to 60 mph in only 3 seconds, the new 2017 Nissan GT-R is perfect for you. Even though the Company hasn’t confirmed that their new model GT-R will go on sale in 2016 as the 2017 model, there is a great possibility that this will happen.
To cut the long story short, let’s check specs of the 2017 Nissan GT-R and see what makes it so special. Of course, the details we will present in the following article are based on speculations and rumors, so don’t take them for granted.
2017 Nissan GT-R Exterior
For the 2017 model year, we expect the vehicle to be completely revamped, both inside and outside. The nose of the vehicle will be completely reshaped and it will ensure a mean look for the car. A lower hood height is also highly anticipated.
The front end will sport a V-bar grille but unfortunately it won’t be in chrome finish as most of you thought it would be, but yet it will look great on the newcomer. The air intake setup is very similar to the current model’s, but with hood scoop above the V-shaped grille. The roofline of the vehicle will be dramatically lowered while the blacked-out fenders and glasshouse of the current generation will remain intact.
You will also see redesigned headlights, horizontal taillights, and a revised diffuser. The newcomer will probably sit on a longer wheelbase, but more details about this haven’t been released so far. The overall shape of the vehicle will be the same, but the aforementioned changes will make it more aggressive, sharper, and more attractive for sure.
Interior of Nissan GT-R
When it comes to the interior design of the 2017 Nissan GT-R it will basically remain the same, except that they managed to reduce cabin noise thanks to the redesigned flywheel bearings. This seems to be the only refreshment for the 2017 model year regarding the interior.
The cabin is performance-oriented and you cannot expect to see something special like you see in luxury cars for example. As for the standard equipment, you will be offered a 7-inch touchscreen display, Recaro seats, dual-zone climate control, a rearview monitor, etc.
Engine of Nissan GT-R 2017
Most of you out there know that the Nissan GT-R is a powerful vehicle and it is all about performance. The base engine for the newcomer will be the well-known 3.8 V6 engine but its output will be improved.
If the rumors are true, the engine will be able to deliver 600 horses in the GT-R Nismo, which is a significant improvement compared to the outgoing model. It will be coupled to a six-speed dual-clutch sequential auto gearbox. Estimated top speed of the model is 200 mph.
